The 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival ran from 31 May to 12 July and concluded with a finale above the Han River. Teams from several countries had transformed the city's night sky into a sequence of choreographed displays, bringing light, sound and artistic storytelling into the public realm.

The festival's theme, 'Da Nang – The New Rising Era', linked the performances to the city's changing identity. During the final night, China's Jiangxi Yangfeng team took first place, while Vietnam's Z121 team finished second after reaching the final for the first time.

What made the event compelling was not only the result. It was the way a waterfront became a shared cultural venue. Residents and visitors had experienced an international festival without leaving the city streets, watching a familiar skyline briefly become a canvas for imagination.
